The Department of Youth delivers its youth development services through the District Youth Offices across the country. Operationally, the department has 32 District Youth Offices. At community level the Department’s services are delivered through the district youth structures such as the Youth Technical Subcommittees (YTSCs), Youth Networks (both at District and Traditional Authority level), Youth Action Committees (YACs), Youth Clubs, Youth Organisations and Youth Associations.
The functions of the department are to coordinate the youth development subsector by setting the Youth Development agenda, developing flagship programs, generating evidence, setting standards, resource mobilisation, substantive reporting including monitoring and evaluation. Programming in the youth subsector guided by pillars in the National Youth Policy.
Youth Club Registration
- Each Youth Club Must Have a Constitution
- The Applicant's Physical Address and Geographic impact area of the club’s activities must be clearly stated
- Letter of recognition from the Community Leader in the club’s impact area must be attached
- Duly filed Registration Form
Youth Organisation Registration
- Each Youth Organisation Must Have a Constitution
- Letter of recommendation from the District Youth Officer
- Physical address and proof of location of where the organisation operates from Strategic Plan
- List of Board of directors or Trustees (whichever may be appropriate)
